"The High Price of Fame" is the first segment of the seventh episode of 101 Dalmatians: The Series.

Plot

Spot embarrasses herself while the pups videotape her every move and submit it to Stupendously Embarrassing Home Videos, causing her to sign a deal with Swamp Rat to clear her name.

Trivia

  • The video of Spot that the Dalmatians show the footage to is titled: Stupendously Embarrassing Home Videos. This is a likely homage to America's Funniest Home Videos.
  • The scene of the Dalmatians filming Spot is later used in "The Making of...", showing how the Dalmatians cast Spot to appear in 101 Dalmatians: The Series.
  • Lucky uses Rolly as a camera stand in this episode, and also in "The Making of..." as well.
  • Swamp Rat refers to Spot as "Missus" in this episode. It is unknown if this means that Spot has some type of partner, or if it's a slang term that Swamp Rat tries with his clients.
  • Rolly refers to Spot as "Spotacus", a likely homage to Spartacus, a Thracian gladiator who led a slave rebellion against the Romans.
  • When Rolly addresses Spot about her helping Lt. Pug, it shows Lucky approaching Spot too, but when we next see Lucky, he is shown to be more focused on the television.
  • Princess is voiced by April Winchell instead of Cree Summer, as she seems to have a different voice than usual in this episode; with an old lady voice, rather than her usual jive voice.
  • Spot is revealed to have 300 feathers on her body.
